Overview

Well, Kanchenjunga is the third highest mountain of the world after Mount Everest and Mount K2 with an elevation of 8586 m and is located at the eastern part of Nepal. And this region was opened in 1988 for trekkers. Kanchenjunga region is protected by Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Project by World Wildlife Fund in association with the Government of Nepal. In fact, the Kanchenjunga sanctuary is a home of Red Panda and other montane animals, birds and plants. Many people have described Kanchenjunga region as the finest trekking route of Nepal. Well, it's a long trek going deep into the remote mountain ranges on Nepal's border with Sikkim and Tibet. During Kanchenjunga trek, you will see a wide range of scenery lush and tropical jungle through rhododendron and chestnut as well as oak forests and then at higher altitudes into the alpine zone. Kanchenjunga Trekking route starts by approaching the north side of Kanchenjunga where you can observe the awesome panorama of Nepal Peak, Cross Peak, Tent Peak, and then Kanchenjunga Base Camp. Well, from Pangpema the trek returns to Ghunsa and then we have to cross the Mirgin La Pass over to the south side of Kanchenjunga. Sure, you will be overwhelmed with the most impressive and delightful views of southwest face of Kanchenjunga.
