There exist five holy ponds in the North of Nauling & Chyochyo hill giving the place its name- Panch Pokhari ( i:e five Ponds ). These ponds are situated in Votang village development committee in the North-Estern part of Sindhupalchowk district to the North of Nauling & Chyochyo hills at an altitude of about 4100m above sea level. These ponds are taken to be the source of origin of Indrawati river. It is World`s ninth ponds in consideration of height where birds can be found.
This trek is one of the wilderness & recently opened non-tourist trekking destination in Nepal. This trek is through untouched traditional village in stunning Himalayan Range & beautiful Landscapes. It offers pristine mountains views, rich culture, genuine adventure, bio diversity, natural beauty. The high altitude holy ponds are secret to Buddhist & Hindu People. That`s why is an important for religiously significant because during Sarwan purnima (i:e full moon day of August) & Bhadra purnima (i:e full moon day of September), huge numbers of devotees visit in Panch Pokhari every year. Some are visited in traditional dresses & show "Jhankri naach" ( The dance of local Shaman can be performed on these days. You have great & closer views of Langtang range, Jugal himal, Rolwaling Himal, Goshainkuda, Kanchenjunga & Makalu.
We should drive to Chautara about 5/6 hours Northeast of Kathmandu towards the Tibetan border. We travel through a mixture of beautiful mountain scenery & the terraced fields & characteristic houses of rural villages from different ethnic groups. On your 1st night, you will experience life in the village homes of Sherpa & Tamang people & guide will give you a short briefing on trekking, altitude, sickness and the highlights of the trek. These include the holy Five Ponds, the incredible Himalayan scenery & the life style of nomadic people unchanged by time. The unusual climatic & geographical mix make this area a naturalist`s dream & a mecca for those who appreciate traditional cultures. This trek can be done all year round except for the monsoon season.

Day 09: Trek from Nasim Pati to Panch Pokhari (4050m). Overnight at T. Camp.
Day 10: Exploring Five Ponds & surrounding hills. Overnight at T. Camp.
Day 11: Trek from Panch Pokhari to Nasim Pati. Overnight at T. Camp.
Day 12: Trek from Nasim Pati to Dukang (2310m ). Overnight at T. Camp.
Day 13: Trek from Dukang To Dhap (1250m). Overnight at T. Camp.
Day 14: Trek from Dhap to Melamchi pul (870m). Overnight at T. Camp.
Day 15: Drive from Melanmchi Pul to Kathmandu by private vehical. Transfer to your Hotel.
